Where Africa’s Voice,Meets a Global Audience.
We are team of music lovers and problem solvers united by a shared passion for creating positive change.
Our History
NaijaTraffic was founded in 2018 by Ikechukwu Mbadiwe, popularly known as Iking, as an entertainment blog. Initially focused on African music and culture, NaijaTraffic quickly evolved into a platform with a bigger mission: to give African music and voices a homegrown platform on the global stage.
By 2020, NaijaTraffic transitioned to a music streaming platform, addressing the need for an African-owned music service in a growing industry. That same year, the NaijaTraffic Awards were introduced to celebrate artists and individuals making significant contributions to African music and culture.
In 2024, NaijaTraffic relaunched as a comprehensive all-in-one digital media and technology platform , rebranding its divisions to include NaijaTraffic News for real-time updates and breaking news in politics, entertainment, lifestyle, and culture, and NaijaTraffic Music, which connects African music with global audiences. Today, NaijaTraffic stands as a hub for African creativity, bridging local talent with international audiences.
