Despite controversy surrounding the demonstrations, which began on August 1st across various locations, many citizens are using the opportunity to share their grievances with the media, with some areas experiencing minor clashes.
Amidst the controversy surrounding the nationwide protests that kicked off on August 1st, Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has added her voice to the chorus of demands for peaceful demonstrations.
Sharing a video on her Instagram page, she directly addressed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging him to restrain his security forces and respect citizens’ rights to peaceful assembly, as reports of minor skirmishes and emotional testimonies from protesters flood the media.

On a personal note, Iyabo recently celebrated her son Festus’ graduation from university in Turkey, expressing pride and gratitude for his achievements.
