Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu, born on March 29, 1952, is a prominent Nigerian politician and a key member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He is the president of Nigeria, he previously held the position of Governor of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Bola Tinubu was born in Osun State and was raised by his mother, Abibatu Mogaji, who was a trader and later became the Iyaloja of Lagos.
Tinubu received his early education at St. John’s Primary School in Lagos and later attended the Children’s Home School in Ibadan.
In 1975, Tinubu traveled to the United States and enrolled at Richard J. Daley College in Chicago, Illinois.
During his time in the US, Tinubu also attended Chicago State University and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
CAREER
After completing his university education, Tinubu worked for American companies such as Arthur Andersen, Deloitte, Haskins & Sells, and GTE Services Corporation.
He returned to Nigeria in 1983 and secured a job at Mobil Oil Nigeria, where he eventually rose to become an executive.
In 1992, he entered the political arena and joined the Social Democratic Party, a faction led by Shehu Musa Yar’Adua.
During the Nigerian Third Republic, Tinubu was elected to the Senate, representing the Lagos West constituency.
In January 1999, he ran for the position of Governor of Lagos State under the Alliance for Democracy (AD) and won the election.
Tinubu served as the Governor of Lagos State until May 29, 2007, when his successor, Babatunde Fashola of the Action Congress, assumed office.
