Vice President Kashim Shettima has reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to supporting businesses, citing President Bola Tinubu’s policies as evidence. During a visit from MTN Nigeria’s chairman, Ernest Ndukwe, Shettima praised the company’s stability and dedication to Nigeria’s progress.
MTN Nigeria donated N1 billion to the federal government’s food support program and 4,600 digital devices to schools, which Shettima described as a commendable gesture. He expressed gratitude on behalf of President Tinubu and assured that the donations would be managed effectively.
Shettima emphasized the importance of corporate social responsibility, encouraging other companies to follow MTN’s example. He also highlighted the significance of the digital devices, which will be distributed to secondary schools across the country, in enhancing educational outcomes.
Ndukwe, the MTN chairman, commended the government’s economic initiatives and reiterated the company’s commitment to supporting the administration’s strategic objectives. He explained that the donations align with MTN Nigeria’s “AMBITION 2025 strategy,” focusing on supporting vulnerable communities and promoting digital literacy.
