Nigerian Twitter personality Daniel Regha has slammed former presidential candidate Peter Obi for his recent visit to music star Paul Okoye and his brother Jude Okoye.
According to Naija traffic report, Peter Obi visited the Okoye brothers, possibly in an attempt to reconcile them with their elder brother.
Paul shared photos from the visit, expressing gratitude to the politician and praying for more blessings.
In response to this, Daniel Regha has condemned Peter Obi’s visit, questioning why he couldn’t have simply talked to the Okoye brothers over the phone instead of making a public visit.
He pointed out that there are more pressing issues in the country that the politician should be addressing, rather than involving himself in the drama surrounding Psquare.
He concluded his tweet by describing Peter Obi’s behavior as a misplaced priority.
“So Peter Obi couldn’t talk to the Okoye brothers over the phone? He had to visit ’em & do it in front of a camera. Making out time for P-Square’s clout-chasing drama when there are more pressing issues to be addressed (as an opposition) is a misplaced priority”.
Naija traffic reported last year that controversial blogger Stella Dimokokorkus claimed there was a growing dispute between the Psquare brothers and their older brother, Jude Okoye.
This was allegedly due to the joint funds being diverted by Jude Okoye, and it was said that the EFCC (Economic and Financial Crimes Commission) was involved in the matter, resulting in Jude’s detention.
In July, Instagram blogger Cutie Juls alleged that Paul and Jude Okoye had been arrested by the commission.
Paul confirmed this on his Instagram, expressing his joy after being cleared by the commission.
During an interview, Paul discussed his relationship with his twin brother and revealed that Peter had played a role in their arrest by the commission in December 2023.
However, after a thorough investigation, Paul was declared innocent of all the accusations against him.
Paul also confirmed that it was Peter who had arrested their older brother, Jude Okoye.
In response to Paul’s interview, Peter denied the claims and stated that he had only filed a petition with the commission against their older brother.
This was after discovering that Jude was diverting their money into a secret account shared with his wife.
Peter clarified that he never called for the arrest of his twin brother.
The ongoing dispute between the siblings is occurring just two years after their intense disagreement.
It is worth stating that in December 2021, there was a huge uproar on the internet when Psquare set aside their grievances after five years of constant fighting.
The news of their reconciliation spread like wildfire and remained a hot topic of conversation for weeks, as they began following each other on all social media platforms and were frequently spotted spending time together.
