The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu has suspended 20 of its members due to internal conflicts in the party. The suspension, announced by the Ugochukwu Agballah-led faction on Sunday, August 25, was a result of severe misconduct and a blatant disregard for the party’s rules.
This action comes after a previous suspension of Agballah and other officials by a rival faction led by Alphonsus Nwafor. In response, during a stakeholders’ meeting, the Agballah faction retaliated by suspending all members involved in the opposing faction’s actions.
The decision to suspend the 20 party members was communicated in a statement read by Senator Utazi at the conclusion of the meeting.
