Basketmouth, a renowned Nigerian comedian, has made a veiled criticism of Wizkid, a music star, in response to his comment about Davido’s wedding.
According to Naija Traffic, Wizkid sparked controversy by making a tweet that seemed to throw shade at Davido and his fiancée Chioma Rowland.
Wizkid’s tweet, which appeared to be a prayer for understanding women, was met with criticism from many who pointed out the hypocrisy, given that his own girlfriend and manager, Jada Pollock, is also a woman who deserves understanding.
In response, Basketmouth mocked Wizkid’s attempt at shade, saying that Davido’s wedding has dominated social media to the point where no one even noticed or cared about Wizkid’s tweet. Basketmouth’s comment essentially meant that Wizkid’s attempt at shade was irrelevant and went unnoticed.

Moreso,Actress Didi Ekanem criticized Wizkid’s statement, saying the prayer would be more suitable for his own partner, Jada Pollock, who needs it more, and called him “childish” for his comment.
Sandra Iheuwa, Ubi Franklin’s babymama, also pointed out the hypocrisy in Wizkid’s shade towards Davido, as both artists have been guilty of similar behavior.
The two musicians have been feuding for months, with their controversy escalating to the point where they’re using their personal lives to diss each other.
Davido previously accused Wizkid of domestic abuse against Jada Pollock, while Wizkid mocked Davido for allegedly begging for sex from one of his side chicks.
Additionally, Wizkid ridiculed Davido’s launch of a meme coin, advising his fans to work smart and not hustle like a fool. The feud has been ongoing, with both artists trading insults and shades.
