The deputy Senate president, Jibrin Barau, has called on Nigerians to unite in supporting President Bola Tinubu in tackling the significant socio-economic challenges facing the nation.
Barau made this appeal during the launch of the distribution of relief materials to his constituents. The distribution started with the handing out of 23,000 bags of 25kg rice to recipients selected from various local government areas in Kano State.
Barau highlighted that the hardships faced by Nigerians are not unique to the country but are part of a global issue. He emphasized that during trying times, citizens typically come together to support their leaders in addressing these challenges.
As the head of the committee overseeing the distribution of relief items in the region, Barau pledged to ensure fair and even distribution of the resources.
