Originally from Igala in Kogi State, Praiz was born in Lagos but relocated to Kaduna in 1992 due to his father’s missionary work transfer.
He is the second of five siblings and holds a National Diploma in Computer Science from Kaduna Polytechnic.

Praiz’s music career took a significant turn after he secured the second runner-up position in the first season of Project Fame West Africa, following in the footsteps of Iyanya, the winner of the show.
