Portable laments after meeting Peter Obi, say’s he gave him nothing

Portable, a contentious Nigerian musician, voiced his discontent and disappointment following a meeting with Peter Obi, the 2023 Labor Party’s presidential candidate.

The Nigerian singer, met Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate, in Benin City, but was left disappointed and expressed his discontent.

In a video, Portable complained that Obi didn’t give him any money, contrasting him unfavorably with President Tinubu, whom he believes would have been more generous if they had met, saying “Obi has nothing to offer, but Tinubu would have given us something”.

Since gaining fame, Portable has had encounters with various prominent figures, including dignitaries and influential personalities.

Notably, in 2022, he met the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and was visibly thrilled.

The monarch was impressed with Portable and showered him with bundles of naira, even mentioning that he would have given more if he had prior knowledge of the visit.

Additionally, Portable showed respect by prostrating before legendary Fuji musician Kollington Ayinla during a courtesy visit with his crew members, showcasing his humility and admiration for the veteran artist.

Portable has had various encounters with influential figures, including a visit to MC Oluomo’s home last year, where he was warmly received and praised for his thoughtful views on music and events.

Additionally, Portable met Tiwa Savage in London earlier this year and affectionately referred to her as his “godmother,” honoring her as the “Ogbanje of Africa” and the continent’s number one artist, expressing his thrill at meeting her.
