In readiness for the forthcoming September 21 governorship election in Edo State, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has initiated the distribution of sensitive electoral materials.
Reports indicate that the commission commenced the transportation of these materials on the morning of Thursday, September 19, to the various local government areas throughout the state.
These critical materials for the election are stored at the Central Bank of Nigeria along Ring Road in Benin City.
It is from this central point, under the watchful eyes of political party representatives, that the materials are disseminated to the different LGAs.
The distribution process is being facilitated with the aid of buses contracted by INEC explicitly for this task.
