As part of her ongoing efforts to support vulnerable communities, Oluremi Tinubu, the Wife of the President, has donated N50,000 each to 1,000 underprivileged women in Nasarawa State.
This generous gesture aims to alleviate the suffering and economic hardship faced by women in rural areas.
Represented by Silifat Abdullahi-Sule, Wife of Nasarawa State Governor, Mrs. Tinubu explained that the initiative specifically targets women at the grassroots level, across the 13 Local Government Areas of the state.
“Senator Oluremi Tinubu gave us N50,000 for each of you,” she said. “This empowerment is designed to boost your economic activities and improve your living conditions.”
The program is part of a broader nationwide initiative, demonstrating Mrs. Tinubu’s commitment to supporting women and vulnerable populations across the country.
Beneficiaries, including Hanatu Luka from Obi LGA, expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying the funds would bring significant relief and improve their economic prospects.
“This money will not only put smiles on our faces but will also boost our economic activities,” Hanatu said.
This donation follows Mrs. Tinubu’s previous philanthropic efforts in June, where she distributed food items worth millions to over 1,200 Internally Displaced Persons, People Living With Disabilities, and other vulnerable residents in Nasarawa.
Her continued support underscores her dedication to addressing poverty and promoting economic empowerment among marginalized communities.
