Kiki Omeili, whose full name is Nkiruka Omeili, was born on May 31, 1986. She is a popular Nigerian actress, recognized for her role as Lovette in the television series Lekki Wives.

Additionally, she demonstrated her acting skills as Blessing in the 2015 crime comedy Gbomo Gbomo Express, where she appeared alongside Gideon Okeke.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION 

Nkiruka ‘Kiki’ Omeili grew up in Lagos as the second of four children born to Charles and Maureen Omeili. She comes from an Igbo heritage, with roots in Nimo, Anambra State.

Her father, Charles, had a successful career in banking, retiring as a general manager at First Bank Nigeria, while her mother, Maureen, served as the Controller of Prisons in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.

From a young age, Omeili developed a love for acting, participating in stage productions throughout her primary and secondary education, a passion she continued to pursue in university.

At the University of Lagos, she was actively involved in the drama club, taking part in various productions and drama competitions.

In 2006, she graduated with a Medical degree from the College of Medicine at the University of Lagos.

CAREER

In 2011, after a successful audition, Nkiruka Omeili landed the role of Debbie in the television series ‘Behind the Smile’.

The following year, she teamed up with director Tunde Olaoye from the same series to make her feature film debut in ‘Married but Living Single’, sharing the screen with notable actors such as Funke Akindele, Joseph Benjamin, Femi Brainard, and Joke Silva.

Kiki Omeili expanded her presence in the entertainment industry by appearing in several television series, such as ‘The Valley Between,’ ‘NESREA Watch,’ ‘Lekki Wives,’ and ‘Gidi Culture.’

In addition to her acting career, Omeili gained recognition as the host of the dance reality show ‘Dance 234’ in 2011, produced by Koga Entertainment.

Excitingly, in August 2013, it was announced that ‘Lekki Wives’ would return for a second season, and Omeili’s contract was renewed for her role as Lovette.

In early 2016, she impressed audiences with her portrayal of Joke in the Nigerian hit film ‘Couple of Days,’ which received widespread acclaim.

Moreover, in May 2016, the short film ‘Iterum,’ directed by Stanlee Ohikhuare and featuring Omeili alongside Paul Utomi, premiered at the prestigious 69th Annual Cannes Film Festival.

Omeili also ventured into film production with her first short film, “Unprotected,” released on May 31, 2016.

Inspired by her experiences as a medical student, the film is based on true events and stars Omeili in a leading role, supported by a talented cast that includes Eric Didie, Bimbo Ademoye, Blessing Ambrose, and Nathan Kingsley.

Continuing her filmmaking journey, Omeili began production on her debut full-length feature film, “Run,” in June 2018.

The film, directed by Uche Chukwu, premiered in theaters on August 23, 2019, featuring actors Owen Gee, Rotimi Salami, Kelechi Udegbe, and Greg Ojefua.

“Run” not only attracted local attention but also received international recognition, being presented at esteemed film festivals such as the Silicon Valley International Film Festival and the Slum International Film Festival, and winning an award at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival.

In an exciting turn of events, Omeili became part of the MTV Shuga cast in February 2023, signaling a new phase in her acting journey.

On a personal note, Kiki Omeili has had a passion for stage performances and debates since her high school years.

Although she opted to study Medicine at university, her enthusiasm for the arts remained strong.

After completing her medical education, she discovered that her true passion was in acting, prompting her to pursue a career in entertainment, where she has successfully established herself.

PERSONAL LIFE 

As for her romantic life, Kiki Omeili is currently single, not married, and has no children.
