EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Folu Storms was born on November 25, 1986, in Aguda, Surulere, Lagos State. She completed her primary education at Corona VI and then attended The Lagoon Secondary School before moving to St. Leonards Mayfield in the UK for her secondary education.
She later went on to Aberystwyth University, where she earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from 2005 to 2008.
In 2009, Folu Storms pursued a Master of Laws (LLM) at the University of Bristol. Additionally, she holds a diploma in Broadcast Journalism from Pan-African University.
CAREER
Folu Storms started her career as a lawyer before joining 92.3 Inspiration FM in 2012. She participated in the MTV Base Africa VJ search and was one of the three finalists.
Subsequently, she was employed by Ndani TV, a Nigerian company, as a presenter and content producer, where she created the documentary “The New Africa,” which received a nomination for Best Documentary at the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.
In addition, Storms co-hosted the Breakfast show at Smooth 98.1FM in Lagos, continuing in that role as of 2019.
She received several accolades, including the 2017 Ebony Life TV Sisterhood Award for TV Personality of the Year and the 2018 On-Air Personality Award at the Future Awards and ELOY Awards.
