EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Meg Otanwa is a gifted Nigerian actress hailing from the Idoma region of Benue State, Nigeria, though she spent part of her childhood in Lagos.
Growing up in a multilingual environment, she is fluent in English, Yoruba, French, Hausa, her native Idoma language, and even has some knowledge of Spanish.
Otanwa obtained her bachelor’s degree in English language from Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria.
She then went on to earn a master’s degree in Human Resources Management from TIME University in Tunis, Tunisia, followed by an MBA from Jean Moulin University in Lyon, France.

After a lengthy tenure at the African Development Bank in Tunis, she decided to leave her job to pursue a career in acting, making her Nollywood debut in 2011 with the dance drama film “I’ll Take My Chance,” directed by Emem Isong.
In 2014, she appeared in Kunle Afolayan’s film “October 1,” starred as “Aisha” in Bodunrin Sasore’s drama series “Before 30,” and featured in Charles Novia’s film “Atlanta.”
In 2016, she played the character “Koko Ogunbiade” in Africa Magic’s first telenovela “Hush,” alongside Richard Mofe Damijo, Thelma Okoduwa, and Rotimi Adelegan.
Otanwa was nominated for Best Actress in a Drama at the 2017 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards and received an AMVCA recognition award for her performance in the thriller telenovela “Hush.” She also attended the red carpet event in 2018.
