Femi Falana, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, has outrightly denied any connection with the controversial figure Bobrisky, also known as Idris Okuneye.
During an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Falana made it clear that he has never had any dealings with Bobrisky. He mentioned that his son, Falz, had a short phone call with Bobrisky.
Falana explained that Bobrisky, who is facing legal issues, had apparently reached out to Falz on May 4, asking for help to move to the VIP section of a prison.
Falana recounted, “My son asked him, ‘Are you calling under the authorization of the superintendent of prisons?’ to which Bobrisky responded negatively.”
Falz declined to help Bobrisky with a request and advised him to use the correct procedures if reaching out again. VeryDarkMan has apologized to Falana for spreading untrue statements.
This situation began when a blogger, Martins Otse, alleged that Falana sought a presidential pardon for Bobrisky in return for N10 million. Otse has retracted his accusations and apologized during a House of Representatives session.
Falana stressed that he has assisted 280 convicted persons without seeking any payment, refuting the blogger’s damaging allegations.
