Chichi’s congratulatory tweet sparked speculation that it contained a subtle dig at her former friend and Level Up rival, Phyna, with whom she had a highly publicized falling out and is currently embroiled in a ₦100 million defamation lawsuit, alleging Phyna’s comments damaged her reputation and cost her endorsement opportunities.
In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Chichi explained that she took legal action against Phyna due to the multiple damaging allegations Phyna made against her, which prompted the ₦100 million defamation lawsuit.
Phyna shared with Chude Jideonwo that her heated response towards Chichi was triggered by untelevised comments Chichi made, including labeling her an abortionist and body-shaming her, which deeply hurt and provoked her reaction.
Phyna expressed confidence and fearlessness regarding the lawsuit, asserting that she was well-prepared to face Chichi in court and was ready to defend herself against the allegations.
