Yomi Fabiyi has revealed a threatening message sent to a neighbor of late singer Mohbad, Ilerioluwa Promise, shedding light on potential intimidation or harassment surrounding the circumstances of Mohbad’s death.
The threatening message targeted Mohbad’s neighbor and his children, ominously warning that they were being monitored, and even revealing that the sender had taken note of the neighbor’s car license plate number, implying a sinister intent.
According to Yomi Fabiyi, Mohbad’s neighbor received a threatening message on September 11, 2024, warning him and his family. This occurred before Yomi’s scheduled meeting with the IT expert responsible for Mohbad’s home CCTV, from whom he intended to obtain crucial footage of the events surrounding the singer’s death.
Yomi Fabiyi emphasized that the truth about Mohbad’s death lies with those living in the singer’s house, as comprehensive CCTV coverage (including staircase, living room, kitchen, backyard, and front gate) captured the events. He urged the police and government to ensure justice for Mohbad, warning that any attempts to cover up or silence witnesses would be unacceptable, and that honest Nigerians would not tolerate further injustices.
In another update, Yomi Fabiyi revealed that he’s currently in hiding abroad due to threats to his life, restricting his free movement. He believes that exercising his fundamental rights has made him a target for assassination, forcing him to go into hiding to ensure his safety.
“This was one of the threats sent to one of Mohbad’s neighbors on the 11th of September, 2024, prior to our meeting, so we could meet with the IT guy in charge of the house CCTV. I was meant to obtain the CCTV footage of what happened inside the house, showing how Mohbad died and what transpired. MOHBAD WAS LEFT TO DIE, AND THEY NEVER GET HIM MEDICAL ATTENTION.
Those in the house knew what happened. There was active CCTV in Mohbad’s staircase, living room, kitchen, backyard, and front gate. I mean bold to say that they were all working as at the time Mohbad breathed his last. The few neighbors’ CCTV close to his house also has overwhelming details and accounts.
JUSTICE FOR MOHBAD IS NON-NEGOTIABLE. If the Police and government want to kill more people just to cover up or want more people to die before they investigate thoroughly and allow this truth to be out, it is up to honest people and Nigerians to accept.

Yomi Fabiyi shared a video of his previous hiding place, revealing he has since relocated to a safer country with a functional justice system, where authorities don’t condone or cover up crimes like murder and homicide, ensuring his protection.
