Charles Enebeli, born on October 23, 1986, in Lagos, hails from a musical family. His father, Collins Enebeli, was a businessman and music production manager who established Sagitarious Productions, while his mother, Patience Enebeli, is recognized as an international business magnate.

From a young age, D’Prince was immersed in the music scene, thanks in part to his family ties, including his older brother, the renowned music producer Don Jazzy, who heads Mavin Records.

Known by his stage name D’Prince, or “Omoba,” which means “Child of a King” in Yoruba, Charles attended King’s College in Lagos.

CAREER

In 2005, D’Prince joined Mo’ Hits Records, led by his brother Don Jazzy. He contributed to the album “Frenzy,” released in 2012, and was involved in creating hit singles for the Mo’ Hits compilation album, including his own single “Omoba,” which came out in 2009.

Following the dissolution of Mo’ Hits in 2012, D’Prince transitioned to Mavin Records, where he released popular tracks such as “Goody Bag,” “Call The Police,” and “Real G,” featuring M.I Abaga, all leading up to his debut album “Frenzy.”

D’Prince was among the artists featured on Mavin’s compilation album “Solar Plexus,” where his tracks “Take Banana” and “Amarachi” particularly stood out.

Over the years, D’Prince has released numerous impactful songs, including the notable “OYO (On Your Own)” in 2014, which carried a strong message and was produced by Don Jazzy.

In 2015, he released “Bestie,” which included collaborations with Don Jazzy and Babyfresh.

In 2017, he launched the song “Sade,” followed by “Gucci Gang” in 2018, both of which received positive reviews from fans and critics alike.

In 2019, he released an EP titled “Lavida,” featuring tracks produced by Altims and Babyfresh, with contributions from Rema and Don Jazzy.

On March 22, 2019, D’Prince established Jonzing World, a record label and management company affiliated with Mavin Records. This label has become a creative hub for artists such as Rema and Ruger.
