Davido’s bouncer, Segun Ogunjobi also known as Segxy, has spoken out about allegations that the singer physically assaulted him at his recent wedding to Chioma.
A viral video showed Davido slapping Segxy, seemingly because he was trying to prevent a child from approaching the singer.
The incident sparked online controversy, with many criticizing Davido’s behavior. Despite the backlash, Davido has shrugged off the criticism, stating he doesn’t care what others think or say.
Segxy has now broken his silence, sharing his side of the story, which may shed more light on the incident and its aftermath.
“Fuck what people got to say, stay active!”.
Segxy clarified the viral video incident, stating that Davido did not slap him, contrary to popular belief.
Instead, Segxy revealed that Davido was simply warning him to let the child approach, and the gesture was misinterpreted as a slap.
Segxy emphasized that Davido has never physically assaulted any of his staff members, putting the controversy to rest.
Segxy explained that the child suddenly appeared out of nowhere, and he attempted to intervene and prevent the child from reaching Davido.
Emphasizing his loyalty and familiarity with the singer, Segxy stated that he knows Davido’s character and is certain that he would never hit or slap him or any other staff member.

Davido’s bouncer, Lati, faced criticism after a video showed him physically assaulting one of the singer’s fans in February. Lati reportedly apologized and offered the fan N200,000 in compensation.
This isn’t the first time Davido has been involved in altercations with fans. Last year, he made headlines for slapping a fan’s phone out of their hand during a ceremony for Mohbad, and later, at his Timeless Concert, he was prepared to punch a fan who rushed the stage, but security intervened and removed the fan.
