Deborah Nosa Okunzuwa, the wife of Nollywood actor Nosa Rex, has praised veteran actor Hanks Anuku for his bold protest against hunger and hardship in the country.
In a comment on a blog, she commended Hanks Anuku for using his platform to raise awareness about the issue, saying “God bless you for taking a stand and using your voice to speak against the suffering in our country”.
The wife of actor Nosa Rex, responded to the viral video showing veteran actor Hanks Anuku staging the solo protest against hunger in the country via Instagram.
In the video, Anuku held a flag with the inscription “Hunger dey ooo” (meaning “there is hunger”), highlighting the pressing issue of food insecurity and its effects on Nigerians.
She responded;
At least he said it!”.
The Nollywood actor, has been the subject of public concern over his mental health and well-being.
In 2022, a video surfaced showing him appearing disheveled and unstable, leading to speculation about his mental state and potential drug use.
While some colleagues confirmed his struggles, others like Shan George denied the claims. Hanks Anuku initially denied the reports, attributing the videos to movie scenes.
However, in a recent Instagram post, he admitted to struggling, revealing he had been unemployed for years and desperately needed financial support.
This admission came after another viral video showed him acting erratically at a petrol station, prompting renewed concern for his well-being.
