EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Spyro, originally named Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, was born and raised in Lagos State.
He started his education at New Mainland Children School for primary education and then went on to attend Model College, Meiran, for his secondary studies.
Spyro continued his education at the University of Ibadan in Oyo State, where he eventually completed his studies.
He developed a passion for music from a young age and actively took part in his church choir. 
CAREER
In 2017, Spyro began a professional journey in the music industry, drawing inspiration from Usher and Joe.
Their influences can be heard in Spyro’s unique sound, even though he remains an independent artist under TAP Music Entertainment.
Spyro has open up on the challenges he faced in his early career, sharing that he once relied on financial help from friends in university to make ends meet.
However, his unwavering commitment paid off when his career soared with the release of “Billing” in 2022. This popular single made it onto Apple Music’s Top 100 chart.
Spyro became extremely popular after the release of “Who is your Guy?” in November 2022.
The song gained a lot of attention and quickly rose to the top of the most-shazamed songs list and Apple’s Top 10 music charts in several African countries including Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Gambia.
This song became the most successful hit for both Spyro and Tiwa Savage, who teamed up for the remix released in March 2023.
Even Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State, showed his appreciation for the song by choosing it as his preferred tune after being re-elected for a second term.
The popularity of the song continued to grow when Spyro released the music video, which garnered over 150 million views on YouTube.
PERSONAL LIFE
In 2024, Spyro disclosed that his girlfriend from Canada had ended their relationship because of a female friend who kissed him as a way of thanking him for his kindness.
Spyro expressed that the breakup was very difficult for him because he had already bought an engagement ring and was ready to move their relationship forward.
