Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors, who were elected into office, have arrived in Enugu state to attend the Governors Forum meeting organized by the party.

The meeting, preceded by a festive gala and cultural night, is taking place at the Enugu State Government House. Approximately ten governors are in attendance.

Among the governors in attendance are Sheyin Makinde (Oyo), Umo Eno (Akwa-Ibom), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Godwin Obaseki (Edo), Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau), Agbu Kefas (Taraba), Dauda Lawal (Zamfara), Ahmed Fintiri (Adamawa), Siminalayi Fubara (Rivers), and the host governor Peter Mbah (Enugu).

According to the source, Acting National Chairman Umar Damagum and other important leaders are expected to join the governors at the meeting.

The meeting will likely focus on organizing state congresses, preparing for the Edo and Ondo governorship elections, and discussing the impact of the Supreme Court’s financial autonomy ruling for Local Governments.

The governors may also address recent high-profile defections to the All Progressives Congress (APC), including former Senate President Pius Anyim.
