The Katsina Hisbah Board recently confiscated and destroyed alcohol and illegal drugs worth N60 million in the Funtua Local Government Area.
Aminu Usman, the state’s Hisbah Commander, reported that the operation resulted in the seizure of around 1,750 crates of alcohol and 33 jerry cans of locally brewed beer.

He highlighted that this significant action aligns perfectly with the core mandate of the Hisbah Board, which is to promote and uphold moral standards within the state.
Aminu Usman expressed his appreciation for the unwavering commitment of the officials within the Hisbah Board and encouraged them to continue their dedicated service.
He also called upon religious leaders to extend their support, emphasizing that the Hisbah Board operates impartially and independently from any particular group or sect.
Furthermore, Governor Dikko Radda received commendation for his steadfast support of the board’s endeavours.Usman appealed to the general public to provide authentic information regarding places where immoral activities take place.
He further encouraged parents, teachers, and community leaders to collaborate closely in order to instill discipline and promote positive moral values among the younger generation.
