Tinubu is fair to Ondo State – says Former Minister, Adegoroye

Former Minister of State for Transportation, Prince Ademola Adegoroye, has praised President Bola Tinubu and Governor Lucky Ayadatiwa for recruiting skilled professionals from Ondo State for key positions in the federal government.

During a dinner event held at his Akure residence, Prince Ademola Adegoroye, expressed gratitude for the appointments made by President and Governor. The dinner was attended by a diverse group of stakeholders, including All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders, newly appointed officials, family members, and party leaders.

The former Minister expressed his strong commitment to the APC and vowed to dedicate himself to securing the party’s triumph in the upcoming elections. Stressing the significance of unity and collaboration among party members, he urged appointees to join forces in order to achieve the APC’s success in the upcoming elections, noting that this approach would greatly contribute to the realization of their goals.

He specifically urged recently appointed Akure indigenes in state and federal positions not to betray the trust placed in them. He emphasized the importance of working tirelessly for the benefit of Akure’s youth and utilizing their positions to promote employment and community development.

During the event, the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi, praised Adegoroye for his outstanding achievements. These included the initiation of the Akure-Ado road construction, the approval of the Ondo Deep Seaport, and the creation of numerous job opportunities for Akure and Ondo State residents within just 10 months as Minister.

Oba Aladelusi commended Adegoroye’s proactive approach in organizing the reception and announced his plan to host a similar event to honor individuals from the state capital who have been appointed to significant positions. This announcement received a positive response from the guests. The event aimed to strengthen ties with Akure appointees and unite the APC in the community. It demonstrated Adegoroye’s commitment to empowering Akure youths.

The appointed individuals include Prof. Olu Aderounmu, Chairman of Governing Council, Federal University, Kachere; Hon. Sunday Abegunde, Executive Director, NDDC; Hon. Omowunmi Ohwovoriole, Member of Council, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi, Secretary to the Government of Ondo State; Pastor Ayo Babalola, Special Adviser to the Ondo State Governor on Lands, Housing, and Infrastructure; and Hon. Gbenga Olaniyi, Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Ondo State.

The reception was attended by prominent APC leaders, including Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire, Hon. Stephen Abitogun, Dr. S.B Akerele, and Hon. Sunday Olajide, among others.
