GLG Communications, a brand agency, has unveiled its 2024 list of 50 influential public relations (PR) professionals in Nigeria.
Among those honored in the 2024 PR Power List are Edward Israel-Ayide, founder of Carpe Diem Solutions, and Ngozi Emeagi, director of communications, data, and analytics at the London Stock Exchange Group in the UK.
In a statement on Tuesday, GLG announced that an event was held to recognize these professionals, highlighting change-makers, emerging voices, and community builders within Nigeria’s PR industry and the diaspora. The event also celebrated World PR Day.
“The PR Power List celebrates individual achievements and underscores the growing influence and impact of the PR industry in Nigeria,” the statement said.
“It emphasizes the profession’s critical role in shaping narratives, building brands, and fostering meaningful communication across different sections of society. Israel-Ayide’s inclusion in the PR Power List reflects his unwavering commitment to helping clients build trust throughout his decade-long career.”
Omawumi Ogbe, managing partner at GLG Communications, remarked that this year’s PR Power List showcases the “exceptional talent and creativity within the African PR industry.”
“We are excited to celebrate the achievements of these outstanding professionals who are shaping the narrative of our times,” Ogbe added.
Edward Israel-Ayide described his inclusion in the 2024 PR Power List as a “humbling recognition of the hard work and dedication my team and I have put into our craft.” He added that it would inspire them to continue striving for excellence in the PR industry.
Andras Sztaniszlav, CEO of the International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO PR) and a jury member, expressed his admiration for the talent and contributions of the Nigerian PR professionals who were shortlisted.
“It is a privilege to be part of the process that recognizes and celebrates their exceptional work,” Sztaniszlav said.
According to the statement, the PR Power List, established in 2022, honors PR and communications experts across various sectors and highlights their achievements over the past year.
