Emergency Response Africa, a prominent healthcare technology company, has launched a community safety initiative through a comprehensive First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training program.
CPR, a lifesaving procedure performed when the heart stops beating, is a crucial skill that can make a significant difference in medical emergencies.
This training is part of the company’s broader mission to enhance emergency medical management across Africa by equipping individuals and organizations with essential life-saving skills.
According to Folake Owodunni, Co-founder and CEO of Emergency Response Africa, the program offers hands-on experience in managing medical emergencies at their Lagos training center and online.
Participants will learn vital skills, including CPR, first-aid techniques, and care for the sick and injured until professional help arrives.
To ensure recognition by prominent health and safety authorities, the company plans to offer two certification options.
She noted, “Empowering individuals and organisations with the skills to respond to emergencies can make the difference between life and death.
“Our First Aid and CPR Training Programme is not just about education; it is about building a community of first responders who are ready to act when it matters most.”
Folake Owodunni emphasized that the training program’s curriculum is both thorough and practical, taught by seasoned experts.
She highlighted that the program’s primary objective is not only to educate participants but also to empower them with the confidence to effectively respond to real-life emergencies, thereby preparing them to save lives in critical situations.
“In addition to the First Aid and CPR Training Program, ERA offers a wide range of services aimed at improving emergency response across Africa. This includes a network of trained First Responders, a fleet of ambulances, and Emergency-Ready hospitals in Nigeria. ERA’s technology platform integrates these services into a unified system, supported by a 24/7 Command Center.
“By participating in ERA’s First Aid and CPR Training Program, individuals and organisations gain invaluable skills that contribute to a safer, more responsive community. Emergency Response Africa encourages everyone to take part in this initiative and help make a tangible difference in their communities,” she noted.
