FG’s Renewed Hope Agenda Bears Fruit With 667 Projects

Date:

The Federal Government has announced that President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda has yielded tangible results, with the completion of 667 projects across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory within just one year.

This was revealed by the Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Mr. Zaphaniah Jisalo, during a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday.

According to Jisalo, the executed projects, which were undertaken during his tenure, include essential infrastructure such as boreholes, roads, maternity centers, healthcare facilities, and clinics, primarily located in rural areas.

“Let me assure you that with the renewed hope agenda, many projects are being executed for the benefit of Nigerians.

“Zonal Intervention Fund, as you are aware, is N100 billion annually, and it is being shared with the senatorial districts and judiciously used for constituency projects by the National Assembly members, under the supervision of my ministry.

“The president has directed that, before any payment is made, we should go and see the project, and assess it to justify the release of the funds to any contractor handling any project.

“It is not the National Assembly members that are directly handling the projects themselves; it’s under the supervision of the ministry and we have been able to achieve tremendously in our duties.

“There is synergy between the National Assembly and the Ministry of Special Duties which is under under my watch,” he said.

The Minister expressed confidence that the Renewed Hope Agenda initiative will lead to the completion of even more projects by year’s end.

He cautioned Nigerian youth against proceeding with a planned August 1 protest, warning it could lead to increased hunger and property damage. Instead, he assured that President Tinubu’s administration prioritizes the well-being and economic prosperity of Nigerians.

Additionally, the Minister took the opportunity to inform the public about other key responsibilities of his ministry beyond overseeing constituency projects.

“I have decided to have this interactive session because I noticed that Nigerians don’t even know the responsibility of the ministry.

“I want to bring it to the notice of Nigerians that the Special Duties Office is an extension of the presidency because every report of ministries goes through it to the president,” he said.
