AAAN elects Lanre Adisa, Noah’s Ark CEO, as president

Date:

According to a statement released on Sunday, the association announced that Adisa was elected president during its 51st annual general meeting (AGM) held in Ogun on Saturday.

Adisa, the managing director and chief creative officer (CEO) of Noah’s Ark Communications, an advertising agency in Nigeria, takes over from Steve Babaeko, who served as president for two terms.

Following his election, Adisa will lead the AAAN executive board for the next two years. In his address, he pledged to build on the association’s current successes and guide it in the right direction.

Other newly elected board members include Adekoyejo Abiola as vice-president, Sola Adegorioye as treasurer, and Fumibi Fayo-Adeleye and Sam Ochonma as publicity secretary and assistant publicity secretary, respectively.

The AAAN noted that Babaeko, who significantly raised the association’s profile over the past four years, will now serve as an ex-officio member, along with Funke Adetola, Bisi Olusanya, Marie Awolaja, and Omoraro George.

During the AGM, Babaeko highlighted that strategic partnerships have enhanced the association’s relevance and reputation. He emphasized that fostering a collaborative culture has strengthened the sense of community among its diverse members.

Babaeko also acknowledged the challenges faced by the AAAN but credited the support and cooperation of all members for overcoming these obstacles, leading to significant achievements. He concluded that the association is now stronger than ever.
