Nollywood actress Rita Edochie appears to have responded to her nephew, Yul Edochie’s statement about gender. Yul Edochie, who is also an actor, had made a comment about gender, which sparked a reaction from his aunt, Rita Edochie.
Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, who recently returned to his ministry after a break, advised men to only pursue relationships with divorced women, not married ones, as it can lead to spiritual weakness. In response, his aunt Rita Edochie took to Instagram, emphasizing the importance of treating others as one would like to be treated and practicing what one preaches, hinting that Yul should follow his own advice.
“Do onto others ooo what you want others to do unto you simple ooo.
Abeg oo. Make una dey try dey practice wetin una dey preach give us oo. Mek Chukwu Abiama no come dey para ooo”.
Uche Maduagwu also, called out Yul Edochie for hypocrisy, pointing out that he had an affair with Judy Austin, who was still married at the time, before making her his second wife. Maduagwu suggested that Yul needs spiritual guidance and prayers from the church, while also commending Yul’s first wife, May Edochie, for her patience and endurance in their marriage.
Remember that In 2022, Judy Austin’s ex-husband, Mr. Obasi, accused her of leaving him and their children for Yul Edochie, whom she met in 2012 while still married. Judy denied this, claiming she met Yul after her marriage ended in 2013.
Going on, Yul’s marriage to Judy caused a rift with his aunt Rita, who he criticized for not supporting him. Rita responded, expressing gratitude that Yul still considers her his aunt, but stating that she doesn’t engage with him because he has changed and is under some sort of influence (‘in a cage’). She emphasized that her concerns are not about Yul himself, but about the situation.
