Akwa Ibom Governor Eno breaks silence after the tragic loss of his wife

Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno breaks silence after the death of his wife, Patience.

Reports state that the first lady passed away on September 26, 2024, after a short illness. In a message to the state residents, Governor Eno provided additional information about his late wife and promised to uphold her memory.

Governor Eno described his wife as “everything a man could ever wish for in a virtuous woman.”

He described her as his “prayer partner, counsellor, cheer-leader, best critic, homemaker, and permanently smiling.”

The Governor and his wife were married for 38 years, spending their lives together in love, service, and commitment to the people of Akwa Ibom.

Governor Eno pledged to carry on and grow his late wife’s initiatives, such as The Golden Initiative for All. He assured everyone, “We will pursue everything she held dear while she was with us.”

Governor Eno also guaranteed that the state’s operations will continue smoothly, with a renewed determination to serve the public effectively.

He added, “This is what Kemi (the Yoruba word for Patience) has always prayed for.”

Governor Eno, speaking on behalf of his family, extended appreciation to the people of Akwa Ibom and Nigerians for their immense support and prayers.
