The APC attributes Nigeria’s current economic challenges to the failure of past administrations, including that of former President Muhammadu Buhari, to implement essential reforms.
According to the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Barrister Felix Morka, previous leaders avoided making bold economic decisions, contributing to the country’s economic stagnation. Morka emphasized that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is committed to taking tough actions to address long-standing economic issues.
He recognized that although the reforms have resulted in heightened hardship, he emphasized their necessity for the nation’s recuperation and long-term stability. He censured prior administrations for postponing crucial reforms, suggesting that their hesitance to act has contributed to Nigeria’s current economic predicament.
The APC additionally appealed for understanding and backing from Nigerians, assuring that Tinubu’s strategies would ultimately bring back economic equilibrium.
Moreover, the statement reproached former party member Salihu Lukman for his critiques, dismissing his opinions as politically driven and lacking consistency in their stance.
