Bauchi Govt contributes N250m to Borno over Maiduguri flood

The Bauchi State government has contributed N250 million to support relief and reconstruction activities in response to the recent flood catastrophe in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State.

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State disclosed this donation during his visit to Governor Babagana Zulum and the residents of Borno State on Monday to offer condolences.

He extended his sympathies to the people of Borno and commended their strength during the visit.

Governor Mohammed mentioned that during his visit, he engaged in talks with Governor Zulum regarding collaboration between regions concerning environmental issues and readiness for disasters.

The governor tweeted on his X handle saying, “Governor Zulum thanked me for the timely assistance, emphasizing the importance of unity between states in addressing crises”.

“This visit reinforced the bond between Bauchi and Borno states.”
