Deborah Nosa Okunzuwa, wife of Nollywood actor Nosa Rex, has spoken out regarding the controversy surrounding Bobrisky’s alleged phone saga
Deborah Nosa Okunzuwa condemned the practice of recording private conversations, labeling it “evil” and urging Nigerians to stop the habit.
She lamented the loss of trust and confidentiality, asking what happened to keeping secrets, and expressed concern that people can no longer freely text or speak without fear of being recorded.
Deborah Nosa Okunzuwa wondered if resorting to sign language was now necessary, emphasizing that genuine friendship shouldn’t be complicated, while clarifying that her comments weren’t taking sides in the controversy.

Bobrisky’s recent controversy stems from a leaked audio recording, revealed by Very Dark Man, where he alleged that EFCC officials extorted N15 million from him to drop money laundering charges. This development follows his April conviction and subsequent six-month prison sentence, from which he was released on August 5 after serving his term.
In the leaked audio, Bobrisky made startling claims: he allegedly served his six-month sentence in a comfortable flat outside the prison walls, arranged by a mentor’s intervention with the Abuja prison authorities.
Additionally, he stated that Falz offered to secure a presidential pardon through his father, human rights lawyer Femi Falana, for N10 million, implying Falz’s attempted assistance.
The viral audio has led to repercussions for Bobrisky, with the EFCC spokesman, Dele Oyewale launching an investigation into the bribery allegations, while Bobrisky denies the claims, insisting the audio is fake, and maintains he served his prison sentence as ordered.
Falz also demands an apology from Very Dark Man over defamation claims, seeking retraction for being falsely implicated in Bobrisky’s alleged bribery scandal.
Additionally, Bobrisky is seeking an apology from Very Dark Man for defamation.
