Dr. Steven Hwande, the Chief Medical Director of Benue State University Teaching Hospital in Makurdi, announced plans on Wednesday to establish a special clinic known as the Very Important Personality Clinic to provide discreet medical services to notable individuals.
This information was shared during a media briefing ahead of the upcoming ‘International Investment Summit’.
One of the main attractions of the summit, as highlighted by the CMD, will be a medical scientific exhibition featuring various medical equipment displays. The overarching theme of the summit is focused on achieving a ‘One Stock Hospital’, emphasizing the delivery of high-quality medical care.
Dr. Hwande also mentioned that the event will span two days and will include activities such as an endowment fund launch and a recognition ceremony for those who have contributed to the hospital.
“Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi is set to open an International Investment Summit, the aim is to mimic what is happening everywhere, and part of it is to achieve medical tourism.
“We are having an exhibition from Thursday; that is a medical scientific exhibition on research and training. During this exhibition, people will come to display medical equipment. The hospital is also going to set up a VIP clinic,” he mentioned.
