Bianca Miquela Landrau, who was born in Medford, Massachusetts, comes from a mixed Puerto Rican and Italian background.

After a short period in college, she decided to leave and pursue a career in music.

To support her studio time, she worked as a bartender before eventually relocating to Los Angeles in 2017.

CAREER

Bia was discovered by rapper Fam-Lay on YouTube, who then introduced her to Pharrell.

In 2014, she appeared on the first two seasons of the show Sisterhood of Hip Hop and signed with I Am Other and RCA Records.

That same year, she collaborated with T.I., Jennifer Hudson, and Usher, and released the mixtape #CholaSeason.

In a 2015 interview on Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning, Bia announced that she would not be returning for the show’s third season.

Following her time on the show, Bia went on tour with Pusha T and Ariana Grande, and also opened for J Balvin’s “Safari.” She released several singles during this time.

In 2018, she released her debut EP titled Nice Girls Finish Last: Cuidado, which featured tracks with Kali Uchis and Kodak Black.

In 2019, Bia left RCA Records due to restrictions on releasing her music.

She then joined Sony under Epic Records and released singles such as “Free BIA” and “Cover Girl.”

Her song “Best on Earth” with Russ became a hit and earned her a nomination at the BET Hip Hop Award.

Bia had a successful year in 2020, with the release of several singles such as “Same Hands” and “Skate.”

These singles were a lead-up to her EP titled “For Certain,” which came out in December.

One of her songs, “Whole Lotta Money,” became popular on TikTok, and a remix featuring Nicki Minaj reached number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Bia has plans to release a deluxe version of “For Certain” and is also working on an R&B project called “R&BIA.”

In February 2022, Bia expanded her career by launching her own makeup line called “Beauty for Certain.”
