EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Bob-Manuel Obidimma Udokwu is originally from Nkwelle-Ogidi in Anambra State, Nigeria.
He attended St. Peters Primary School for his elementary education and Oraukwu Grammar School for his secondary education.
He obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Port Harcourt and a master’s degree in Political Science with a specialization in International Relations from the University of Lagos.
CAREER
In terms of his career, Bob-Manuel Obidimma Udokwu’s interest in acting began during his primary school years and gained popularity in primary six.
After completing secondary school, he decided to pursue acting more seriously. He joined amateur theater groups and even had the opportunity to work as a guest presenter on FRCN, Enugu.
In 1986, he enrolled in a certificate program at the University of Port Harcourt and was recognized as the Second Runner-up for Best Student Actor of the Year in 1987.
This achievement inspired him to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Arts.
During his time as a student, he held the position of National President of the Nigerian Universities Theatre Arts Students Association (NUTASA) in 1989.
It was during this period that he discovered an upcoming soap opera and successfully auditioned for a role, which marked the beginning of his acting career.
He made his debut in the film industry with a role in the movie “Living in Bondage” in 1992. From there, he continued to actively participate in various other films.
MARITAL STATUS
Bob-Manuel Obidimma Udokwu met his future wife, Cassandra Joseph, while pursuing his master’s degree at the University of Lagos.
They got married on February 19, 2000, and have since been blessed with two children: a daughter named Elyon Chinaza and a son named Marcus Garvey.
It is worth noting that he named his son after the influential political leader, Marcus Garvey.
