Chief of Air Staff reveals fresh plot against bandits

Date:

The Chief of Air Staff, Hasan Abubakar, has announced intentions to dispatch the Quick Response Wing of the Nigerian Air Force to the North-West region.

This move aims to enhance military presence in at-risk communities and bolster efforts against bandits.

During a visit to the Air Component of Operation HADARIN DAJI and the 213 Forward Operating Base in Katsina State, Abubakar revealed the heightened airstrikes being carried out by the Nigerian Air Force against criminal groups in the North-West.

Abubakar emphasized the necessity of a holistic approach to achieve sustainable peace, noting that military measures alone are insufficient to eliminate insurgency.

He reassured Governor Diko Radda of Katsina State that the Air Force will continue safeguarding farmers in the state, particularly as the harvest season approaches.

According to a statement released on Tuesday by Group Captain Kabiru Ali, the Deputy Director of Public Relations and Information for the Nigerian Air Force, it stated: “The CAS highlighted the significant progress made in securing the state, noting that the recent planting season was largely free from interference by bandits, a feat attributed to the governor’s robust security measures.”
