Another incident of explosion occurred in Edo state where a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) powered vehicle exploded at NIPCO filling station Aduwawa along Benin Auchi Expressway.
This incident occurred on Thursday morning in Benin City, Edo State.
Reports have it that as the vehicle scattered,the people around the vicinity had to run for lives. It was recorded that only three people sustained injury and was rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
The explosion occurred briefly after serious concerns about converting petrol-powered vehicles to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) was raised. It was a move proposed by the Federal Government to aid in the transportation cost.
The Presidential CNG Initiative (PCNGI) has reacted to the tragic incident. It was disclosed that the vehicle that caused the explosion was illegally modified which may have resulted to the tragic situations.
