Daddy Freeze, a popular media personality, was deeply moved when On Air personality Do2dtun came to his defense amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding his N5million adultery fine.
Naija traffic reported that after a lengthy legal battle lasting three years, a panel of three judges, namely Justice Abubakar Talba, Danlami Senchi, and Hannatu Balogun, dismissed Daddy Freeze’s appeal, stating that it lacked merit.
They also upheld the N5 million fine for adultery that he was ordered to pay by his wife’s ex-husband.
The media personality had been taken to court by his wife’s former spouse for committing adultery.
In response to this news, Do2dtun expressed his thoughts on how people tend to judge Daddy Freeze based on their own perceptions of him, rather than truly knowing him.
He revealed that his biggest concern for Daddy Freeze was that he would never be able to find love again after going through such a difficult situation.
However, he was pleased to see that Daddy Freeze had indeed found love again with his current wife.
“Let me just say this. Have you realised people only judge you based on their perception of you? Not cause they know you. My biggest fear was you will never find love again after what you went through, but you & Benedicta proved everything wrong. They don’t know your story. We do”.
Daddy Freeze, who couldn’t believe his eyes, reposted Do2dtun’s support for him on his Instagram page as he questioned why he was just seeing this.
He revealed that the OAO knew his story as they were colleagues, neighbours and brothers.
“How come I’m just seeing this? @do2tun knows the story. We were colleagues, neighbours and brothers”.
In 2021, the High Court in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, ruled that Daddy Freeze must pay N5 million for committing adultery with Benedicta Elechi.
The money was to be paid to Paul Odekina, Elechi’s husband at the time of the affair.
Dissatisfied with the court’s decision, Daddy Freeze appealed to the higher court, arguing that Odekina did not personally serve him before seeking substituted service, which he believed violated the rules of the trial court.
In an Instagram live video, Daddy Freeze responded to the ruling, stating that he had no issue with paying the fine as his watches alone were worth over N100 million.
However, he maintained his innocence and expressed confidence that he would not lose the case.
He explained that the incident occurred years ago when both he and Elechi were going through difficult times, and they reconnected later in church.
