Following the conclusion of the anti-bad governance protests that started on August 1st, Yemi Alade, a renowned Afrobeat artist, shared her thoughts on social media.
On her Instagram page, she promoted a song from her latest album, “Rebel Queen”, that advocates for peace and love in Africa.
In the caption, she emphasized that everyone deserves improved living conditions and access to essential necessities like food, water, electricity, and more, highlighting the need for better living standards across the continent.
“Dem-don-cråzy or Democracy?
We all deserve better standards of living and the means to afford basic amenities of life. Food, Water, Electricity, etc” she wrote.

Lege Miami urged youths to give the President more time to address the country’s challenges, while Tonto Dikeh suggested a more diplomatic approach, proposing a representative group to meet with the President and advocate for the people’s concerns.
Meanwhile, Yemi Alade and others continue to support the protests, advocating for improved living standards and better governance.
