Despite the hardship, Nigeria’s betting industry hits N600 billion

Currently, Nigeria’s betting industry is worth N600 billion with about N60 million Nigerians.

Reports have it is majorly youths that is involved in the betting sport despite the hardships in the economy.

It was the internet access and technology that transformed betting sport from traditional methods to online platforms.

Innovations such as Mobile and fintech have secured payment process, making transactions which aid in expanding the industry.

Experts have predicted that by 2025, it will hit N800 billion even though it is illegal and sometimes addictive.

The rapid growth highlights the popularity of othe betting platforms and online gambling in Nigeria.
