Destiny Etiko, alongside other celebrities, has weighed in on Wizkid’s relentless social media tirade against Davido.
Wizkid announced his new single’s release on Monday night, concurrently taking aim at Davido, stating he doesn’t engage in feuds with untalented individuals, labeling Davido “Frigodo” in a scathing response to an online query about dissing Davido to promote his music.
Going on, Wizkid responded to a fan’s concern about Davido’s well-being, saying Davido’s emotional state was of no consequence to him, essentially wishing him ill.
Meanwhile, Destiny Etiko jokingly suggested that Wizkid’s phone must have been hijacked, implying his recent social media outbursts were uncharacteristic and perhaps not truly his.
“Are you guys sure his phone wasn’t stolen?”.
Grace Makun pointed out that Tunde Ednut, a friend of Davido’s, has repeatedly provoked Wizkid, who had remained silent until now, when he’s finally unleashing his pent-up frustration.
“Tunde, you have constantly triggered him over and over again. He kept quiet all this while. Even, you too, have not rested since morning. This night go long”.
Sarah Martins suggested that Wizkid’s outbursts stem from resentment towards Davido’s wealth and privileged background, sarcastically asking if Davido was responsible for Wizkid’s father’s lack of success.
“It’s obvious he is pained cos Davido is a rich kid. Na Adeleke tell your papa make he no hustle? Why are you so pained??
Wizzy grow up!!”.
Media personality Do2dtun chimed in, labeling the Wizkid-Davido feud as one of Nigeria’s most enduring celebrity rivalries, expressing exhaustion and frustration at their prolonged and ongoing public discord.
Davido and Wizkid’s on-again, off-again feud reignited in April, despite a seeming reconciliation two years prior, when Wizkid proposed a joint tour following the loss of his son. The rift widened as the two musicians traded verbal blows, with Davido alleging Wizkid’s abuse of Jada Pollock and Wizkid retaliating with claims of Davido’s infidelity and promiscuity.
