Deyemi Okanlawon shared an emotional and heartfelt video on Instagram, giving a tour of his temporary Hollywood Hills residence in Los Angeles, humbly acknowledging the significance of his Hollywood debut, expressing gratitude to his industry connection, and attributing his success to divine providence, reflecting on the challenging journey he and his family have overcome.

Deyemi Okanlawon reflected on his illustrious career, tracing back to his early beginnings at age 8/9, when he made his on-screen debut in a family commercial alongside veteran actress Sola Sobowale, who played his mother, and his real-life brother, Detola Okanlawon, highlighting the pivotal role veteran Kunle Bantefa played in launching his journey.
Deyemi Okanlawon received the prestigious Trailblazer award at the 16th Silverbird Awards in March 2023, and in a heartfelt acceptance speech, he thanked Silverbird TV and the public for the recognition, acknowledging that the honor was a long-overdue validation of his hard work and dedication.
In February last year, Deyemi Okanlawon realized a long-held career aspiration when he was appointed Director of Planning/Strategy by the Actors Guild of Nigeria, a role that enabled him to positively influence the industry, fulfilling his dream of making a meaningful impact.
