EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Dice Ailes’ passion for music began in his childhood, influenced by his uncles who were songwriters.
He started to explore his musical abilities around the age of 8 or 9, inspired by his mother’s participation in the church choir.
It was there that he first demonstrated his talent by beatboxing to the music played during services.
After completing his education in Nigeria, the Republic of Benin, and Ghana, Dice Ailes relocated to Canada, where he studied at York University and began his journey in the music industry.
In 2014, after signing with Chocolate City, he made the decision to return to Nigeria to advance his musical career.
CAREER
At the age of 15, Dice Ailes made the decision to take his music career more seriously and teamed up with his uncle to create his debut track, “I Can’t Wait.”
By 16, his distinctive talent had caught the eye of Rhythm 93.7, which led to an appearance on DJ Jimmy Jatt’s famous show, “Jimmy’s Jump Off.”
He later relocated to Canada to pursue his education while still nurturing his musical aspirations.
While in Canada, Dice Ailes met Tee Tash, a young entrepreneur who saw his potential and signed him to a Production Agreement, marking the beginning of his professional music journey.
In 2013, Dice Ailes and Tee Tash traveled back to Nigeria to promote their music, where they encountered M.I.
Impressed by Dice Ailes’ abilities, M.I. facilitated a meeting with the management of Chocolate City, resulting in Dice Ailes’ signing in 2014.
His collaboration with Lil Kesh on the CKay-produced track “Miracle” earned him national recognition in 2016.
A highlight of his career came when he performed at the “Beat FM Xmas concert” in Lagos in December 2016, sharing the stage with WSTRN, Krept and Konan, Migos, and Lil Kesh.
Following the success of his hit song “Ella,” Dice Ailes further established his presence in the Nigerian music industry.
