The Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State has issued a cautionary notice to residents, advising them against assembling or taking part in the scheduled nationwide hunger protest within the boundaries of the council area.
The Council Chairman, Valentine Buraimoh, delivered a firm admonition through an official statement released on Wednesday in Lagos, emphasizing the need for compliance with the directive.

The designated protest sites in Lagos State are Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park in Ojota and Peace Park in Ketu. Buraimoh noted that none of the authorized protest locations in the state fell within their area of jurisdiction.
He stated, “As your Executive Chairman, I am compelled to warn that any gathering or protest within Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area will be in contravention of the court’s judgement.
“I urge you all to respect the law and refrain from participating in any protest or gathering within our local government area.
“Let us prioritise peace and order in our community,” he added.
The nationwide demonstration against hunger and the increasing cost of living is set to begin today.
