Ejemonee Rain: The Multitalented Musician

Major Sharon Okorie-Ogoma popularly known as Ejemonee Rain is a Nigerian Singer and Songwriter born on the 14th of June 1994, in Umuahia, Abia state. Ejemonee grew up in a family of six with a passion for music, football, and art. She started playing football at the age of 5 and continued until she was 16. She also developed a love for drawing and dancing during her childhood.

Music Career

Ejemonee Rain’s music career spans multiple genres, including Afrobeat, Afro fusion, Afropop, dancehall, reggae, R&B, and Afro-soul. Her early influences include Chief Stephen Osita Osadebe, Bob Marley, Fela Kuti, Adele, and Wizkid. She released her first single, “Ogene,” in 2016 under her former name Major Keyz, featuring Oyo C Baba. She has since released several notable singles, including “Shuga” under her previous name, Lily_Rain.

Ejemonee Rain plays the drums and has won multiple awards including the Umuahia Best Female Artist award in 2017/2018 under her previous name, Major Keyz.

Ejemonee Rain attended Kings Capital Academy for nursery and primary school, Holy Rosary Secondary School in Umuahia, and Our Shield Model School in Oyigbo, Port Harcourt. She is single and has a daughter named Skye. She enjoys music, football, movies, traveling, and fashion. She is also passionate about philanthropic efforts in education, healthcare, arts, and culture.
