Elma Postma, a South African actress and presenter, was born on September 6, 1978, in her home country.
CAREER
She entered the television industry in 2001 with a role as ‘Dezi Terreblanche’ in the popular soap opera 7de Laan on SABC2. After enjoying a successful run, she left the show in June 2007.
In 2010, she made a notable comeback to acting, portraying ‘Dr. Sara van Graan’ in the acclaimed SABC2 drama series The Mating Game.
This production, which also featured talents such as Renate Stuurman and Maggie Benedict, received recognition, winning a South African Film and Television Award (SAFTA) for Best Ensemble Cast.
Embracing new challenges, Postma joined the cast of the kykNET soap opera *Binneland* in 2011, taking on the lead role of Bea Basson.

Elma Postma experienced a terrifying incident on February 18, 2006, when she was bitten by a lion during a family visit to a lion farm near Klerksdorp.
The incident occurred as she approached the tame lions, and her ring got caught on one of the lion’s claws.
In her attempt to free her ring, the agitated lion bit her hand, causing significant injury to her fingers.
