Eno Approves N1bn Bonus for Akwa Ibom Workers

On Monday, Governor Umo Eno made an announcement regarding the disbursement of a N1 billion bonus to employees of the Akwa Ibom State Government, as a special gesture to commemorate the 2024 Public Service Week.

In a statement issued after a thanksgiving service held at the International Worship Centre in Uyo, Governor Umo Eno revealed the decision to grant a N1 billion bonus to Akwa Ibom State Government workers as part of the culmination of the week-long celebration honoring public servants.

He wrote on X , “Expressing my appreciation for the harmonious working relationship and support for the ARISE Agenda, I directed the Accountant-General to ensure the payment of Twenty Thousand Naira (N20,000.00) each to all 52,000 civil servants in the first week of July. ”

“I also commended the integrity and prudence of the Head of Civil Service, Elder Effiong Essien, and urged all hands to be on deck to make Akwa Ibom self-sufficient in food production.”

Eno encouraged the workers of Akwa Ibom to maintain their collaboration with the state government, aiming to enhance efficiency and achieve greater success within the public service of the state.
