The human rights activist, Dele Farotimi has arrived at the Magistrate Court in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti state over the defamation charges.
On Tuesday, December 10, at the Magistrate Court, Farotimi was accompanied by Nigeria Correctional Services (NCS).
He was brought to court in a black van followed by the operational vehicle of the NCS. Reports have it that both the defence and plaintiff counsels were already present.
Recall that Farotimi was detained because of the defamation charges levelled against him by Afe Babalola.
On Monday, he was granted bail of N50 million with surety of like sum. The court asked him to deposit his travel passport.
This case has created a lot of controversy and outrage among Nigerians including leaders like Peter Obi.
